Danial M.A. Donái is an Australian filmmaker and founder of SilverFox Films, bringing over 45 years of experience working within the international film industry, including extensive time in Hollywood. Throughout his career, Danial has worked across major studio productions and alongside some of the industry’s most respected filmmakers, contributing to projects led by internationally recognised directors and creative teams. His work within large-scale production environments has provided him with valuable insight into cinematic storytelling, production discipline, and the collaborative processes behind globally successful films.
Drawing on this experience, Danial now focuses on developing character-driven genre stories with international appeal, combining Hollywood-informed filmmaking practices with the efficiency and innovation of independent production. His creative approach blends grounded realism with cinematic scale, often exploring themes of loyalty, identity, power, and the psychological complexities of human relationships.
Danial’s recent short films have received international recognition on the festival circuit. Deep Red Water won the Grand Jury Award for Best Short Film at the 2024 New York International Film Awards and was nominated for the 2026 Los Angeles Film Festival, while The Night Flyer won Best Horror Film at the 2025 New York International Film Awards. These projects demonstrate his ability to achieve strong cinematic results through focused crews, disciplined budgets, and visually driven storytelling.
Through SilverFox Films, Danial is committed to developing distinctly Australian stories with global cinematic impact, combining the unique landscapes and voices of Australia with the scale and storytelling ambition associated with international productions. His current flagship project, John the Revelator, is an action-drama feature inspired by the unsolved 1973 Kuranda Rail Motor train robbery and is currently being developed through a proof-of-concept short film designed to demonstrate the project’s tone, visual style, and production feasibility.

Tristan Barr is an Australian producer, actor, and filmmaker, and co-founder of Filmbarr, an independent production company known for delivering high-quality screen content across film and television. With a strong track record in developing and producing commercially viable projects, Tristan brings a practical, story-driven approach to filmmaking, combining creative vision with disciplined production execution.
As Producer on John the Revelator, Tristan contributes extensive industry experience in project development, production strategy, and financing pathways. His involvement strengthens the project’s capacity to move from concept to production, supporting its ambition to deliver a cinematic, globally relevant Australian feature.
Garth “Deadly” Edwards

Garth “Deadly” Edwards is an Australian actor known for his grounded screen presence and ability to portray character-driven roles. His work includes independent film and emerging screen productions such as The Fall, Unfollow, and Window of Fear.
Recognised for his authenticity and intensity on screen, Garth brings emotional depth to complex characters. He is currently collaborating with SilverFox Films on the development of John the Revelator as the project progresses toward proof-of-concept production and feature development.
Connor Barton

Connor Barton is an emerging Australian filmmaker, actor, and producer with experience across both the Australian and Los Angeles film industries. His recent work includes involvement in major international productions such as Elvis, where he worked closely with director Baz Luhrmann, as well as projects including Thirteen Lives, True Spirit, and Apples Never Fall, demonstrating his versatility across performance and production environments.
With a strong foundation in storytelling, performance, and on-set collaboration, Connor brings a contemporary, globally aware perspective to filmmaking. His experience working across Australia and the U.S. positions him as a valuable creative contributor, supporting the development and production of John the Revelator with a focus on delivering high-quality, internationally relevant content.
Chedwa Whyte
Cinematographer | Camera & Technical Specialist
Chedwa Whyte is an emerging Australian cinematographer working across independent film, music visuals, and commercial media. Known for his practical, hands-on approach to filmmaking, he brings strong technical knowledge and visual storytelling capability to productions.
Chedwa operates a fully equipped Blackmagic Design cinema camera system, enabling projects to achieve premium cinematic imagery while maintaining disciplined independent budgets. As cinematographer on the John the Revelator proof-of-concept short film, he will help establish the film’s visual language and atmospheric tone.
John Baker

John Baker is a North Queensland filmmaker and industry advocate associated with NQ Film. With extensive experience supporting regional screen initiatives and productions, he provides valuable insight into filmmaking across Far North Queensland.
Through his involvement with regional screen organisations, John has contributed to strengthening local film networks and supporting emerging productions. As an advisor on John the Revelator, he provides regional industry insight and supports the project’s connection to the North Queensland screen community.
Mia Davis
Public Relations | Creative Development Support
Mia Davis supports the development and strategic positioning of SilverFox Films projects through public relations management and creative development support. She contributes to the preparation of pitch decks, industry submissions, and investor communications, helping present projects clearly to industry partners and audiences.
Mia also oversees the design and management of SilverFox Films’ online presence and contributes to creative preparation, including image editing and script presentation materials during project development.
Tom McSweeney
