DEEP RED WATER

In the unforgiving depths where blood stains the blue, the Queen rises, fuelled to take revenge!
Drama | Thriller
Fueled by vengeance, the Queen of the Deep rises.
Deep Red Water is a high-intensity survival thriller set along Australia’s eastern coastline, where a massive Great White shark resurfaces decades after a brutal culling operation left her scarred and orphaned. Now grown into a legendary 21-foot predator known as “Scarface,” she begins a relentless journey along the coast, leaving fear and devastation in her wake. As reports of brutal attacks spread, shark hunters, marine authorities, and unsuspecting holidaymakers are drawn into a deadly confrontation in open water. What begins as a hunt for a trophy quickly becomes a desperate battle for survival as those caught in the shark’s path realise they are facing a force of nature far more intelligent and determined than they imagined. Blending relentless action with emotional stakes, Deep Red Water explores vengeance, survival, and the terrifying reality that in the ocean, humanity is never at the top of the food chain.
Originally developed as a proof-of-concept short film produced on a modest independent budget with a small skeleton crew, Deep Red Water successfully demonstrated the film’s cinematic potential, suspenseful tone, and visual scale. Despite its limited resources, the short film achieved strong production value and went on to receive international recognition, including the Grand Jury Award for Best Short Film at the 2024 New York International Film Awards. The success of this award-winning concept has confirmed the project’s potential as a larger commercial feature film.
With the proof-of-concept now established and audience interest proven, SilverFox Films is actively preparing for production of the full feature film and seeking the necessary investment to bring the story to the big screen. The feature-length version will expand the characters, deepen the survival narrative, and deliver large-scale ocean action sequences that fully realise the scope of the story. Building on the success of the award-winning short, the full feature film aims to showcase Deep Red Water in its entirety — delivering a gripping cinematic experience that combines suspense, spectable, and the raw power of the natural world.
